Concerts and festivals typically run 100–110 dB. At 100 dB, hearing damage can begin in about 15 minutes; at 110 dB, in a couple of minutes. Ringing ears (tinnitus) after a show is a sign you exceeded a safe dose.

Are these good enough for musicians and DJs?

Many musicians, DJs and crew use Happy Ears to protect their hearing across repeated shows while still hearing the mix. For critical studio monitoring some prefer custom moulded filters, but for gigging, rehearsals and front-of-house they work well.

Will I still hear the music and my friends?

Find your fit with a Discovery Pack

We recommend starting with a Discovery Pack to find your size. Size Small is red, Medium is white and Large is black.

Start sampling size Large

To avoid the discomfort of a too small earplug going too far in your ear; always start by trying size Large, then Medium and lastly Small.

Get the right seal

Gently twist the oval part of your Happy Ears into place until sealed, with the stem resting in your outer ear.

Care and storage

All Happy Ears come with a small heart-shaped case; also made from silicone-free plastic. Gently wash your Happy Ears with hot water and soap for longer to preserve quality over time.
